Building safety compliance

Since the Building Safety Act 2022, freeholders and managing agents of higher-risk buildings have new statutory duties, including appointing an Accountable Person and maintaining a “golden thread” of building information. We help RMCs and freeholders understand and meet these obligations.

Common questions

We're an RMC with a poor managing agent. How hard is switching?+

Usually far easier than boards expect. There is a notice period under your existing contract, then a structured handover of funds, records and contracts. We manage that process for you.

What is a Section 20 consultation?+

The statutory consultation landlords and RMCs must run before major works or long-term agreements above set cost thresholds. Skipping it can cap what you recover from leaseholders. So we run it properly.

How are service charges handled?+

Transparent annual budgets, demands issued correctly, funds held appropriately, and year-end accounts leaseholders can actually read.

Do you handle fire safety obligations?+
